Rachael M. Kjelden, NP - Closed

Rachael is originally from a small town in South Dakota and earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from South Dakota State University in Brookings. After graduating, she spent several years as a registered nurse in Fargo, North Dakota and Palo Alto, California working in med/surg, labor and delivery and oncology units. She received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota. Since earning her advanced degree, Rachael has been in Colorado specializing in primary care and addiction medicine.She is drawn to family medicine because of the opportunities it provides her to advocate for patients at all stages of care while developing lasting relationships with patients and their families. She believes great care starts with making sure each patient is heard."I aim to provide outstanding patient-centered care through genuine connection, patient education, safety and good humor."When not at work, Rachael enjoys cooking and spending time outdoors with her husband, son and dogs.
