In 1983, Dr. De La Hoz graduated from the Universidad Libre School of Medicine in Barranquilla, Colombia. Shortly after earning his degree, he completed training in family medicine and general surgery at the General Hospital in Barranquilla, Colombia. After moving to the United States he received additional training in family medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine.. There, he was awarded the Rosilie O. Saddos Outstanding Resident Teacher Award in 1996.
Dr. De La Hoz has been a leading medical provider in Jacksonville and surrounding areas for over 25 years. He currently treats a multitude of conditions at JAX Family Care including, COPD, diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, wellness and also motor vehicle accidents.
