Dr. Wahaj Ahmed, MD

Dr. Ahmed received his medical degree from Windsor University School of Medicine, and completed his internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago. As a board-certified internist, Dr. Ahmed has been practicing medicine for the past five years. While at AMITA GlenOaks Hospital, Dr. Ahmed helped the hospitalist program achieve the most improved in terms of quality. Due to his past research experience at University of Chicago, Dr. Ahmed also understands the importance of remaining up-to-date with new guidelines in patient care. This allows him to uniquely bond with his patients to positively change their health outcomes for the better.

Dr. Ahmed realized the difficulties in patient care with multiple providers handling care for one patient overtime. As a founding member of SWAN Primary Care, Dr. Ahmed is able to directly manage care for his patients no matter where they are.
