Chaim Charytan, MD

Dr. Chaim Charytan is an Internal Medicine physician specializing in Nephrology at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens hospital. He received his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine Yeshiva University, completed his residency in Internal Medicine and his fellowship in Nephrology. Dr. Charytan is Director of the Division of Nephrology and Director of the Dialysis Units at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens hospital. His areas of interests include nutrition and anemia in patients with chronic renal disease, dialysis adequacy and hypertension. Dr. Charytan is also an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Medicine at Weill Medical College of Cornell University and has authored several chapters for textbooks on a variety of topics in nephrology. Dr. Charytan sits on a number of local and national nephrologic committees and on the editorial board of several nephrology journals.
