Katherine Allen, MD

I am honored to be a primary care physician at UNC. It brings me joy to build long-term relationships with my patients and approach their care as a partnership. It is imperative that patients understand their disease processes, and I strive to teach patients about disease in a way that they understand. This empowers my patients to play an active part in their healthcare. Other than teaching patients, I am also passionate about teaching residents and medical students. Outside of the workplace, I enjoy playing the piano, hiking, horse-back riding and spending time with my family.
