Karen Kavanagh, CPNP, is a pediatric nurse practitioner with AHN Pediatric Institute, specializing in patient education and holistic care. She is skilled at performing well-child examinations, providing routine developmental screenings, diagnosing and treating common childhood illnesses, and educating parents with anticipatory guidance for their children.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing from University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Karen is certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and is also a certified breastfeeding counselor. She is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurses and Practitioners. Her philosophy is that primary care is the foundation of your child’s health. Karen sees patients from newborn to 21 years of age.
