I have been a therapist and Clinical Supervisor for over 40 years. I have devoted my professional life to helping others heal from the past and become skillful in expressing their thoughts and feelings in the present. I address marriage and family problems, parenting, substance use disorders, codependency, mental health disorders, grief and loss/death and dying issues. I try to create a safe, confidential, soothing environment in which you can express yourself freely, while being heard, validated and supported. I teach effective communication skills, meditation and coping techniques to all.
I utilize Family Systems Theory as my frame of reference to enable clients to view their situations from a historical perspective, heal from the past and build new, effective skills for coping with stress and communicating effectively with others. I provide Trauma Informed Care to promote healing in a safe and supportive atmosphere.
Therapy is part of a sacred journey of emotional and spiritual growth that helps to transform us into the powerful, capable people we are meant to become. Just when the caterpillar thought it's life was over, it become a butterfly. Entry into therapy is often precipitated by crisis. Crisis creates opportunity for innovation, change and growth.
