New Jersey Electric Motors, Inc. has been providing excellent customer service as a family owned and operated business since 1975. Our commitment to our customers is the reason for our continued success. We understand unscheduled downtime results in lost time, production and money. We strive to get you back to normal operations with those things in mind. Our company was officially founded in 1975 by Antonino "Pap" Gambino. Antonino was born in 1931 in Palermo, Sicily and worked in the Italian Merchant Marines as a chief electrician. He immigrated to the US in 1960 and worked at various electrical motor repair shops in Brooklyn and New Jersey. While working fulltime to provide for his new family, he began repairing and rewinding electric motors from his garage at home. Pap opened New Jersey Electric Motors with his son, Salvatore, in 1975. His daughter, Maria, eventually joined in to grow the company into the successful motor repair shop it is today.
