Deandrea Ellis

Deandrea Ellis, MD is a member of Summit Health's Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine team. Dr. Ellis treats patients from birth to young adulthood with an emphasis on preventive care and making sure all concerns are addressed at every visit.

Dr. Ellis takes a collaborative approach, engaging her patients with their overall health management and working to ensure their individual health needs and goals are understood and part of a shared decision-making process.

For Dr. Ellis, the perk of practicing medicine is spending time with her young patients. “I love children. I love their curiosity,” she says. “Every visit is an opportunity to make a child laugh while watching them grow and develop.”

In her free time, Dr. Ellis enjoys reading, do-it-yourself projects, cooking new recipes, and trying new restaurants. She is passionate about diversity and inclusion in health care.
