BIO: I received my bachelor's degree in nursing from Miami Dade College. Afterward, I worked as a psychiatric nurse in the inpatient setting at Mount Sinai hospital for eleven years. I completed my MSN as a family nurse practitioner and later a Postmasters's as a mental health nurse practitioner. I am originally from Cuba but have been in South Florida for many years. I am bilingual in English and Spanish.
