Office-based outpatient care for peri-and postmenopausal women for hormonal and other gynecological problems is available from the office of Meredith V. Morgan, MD, in the Houston Museum District near the Texas Medical Center. The practice location was selected for easy access and for low stress about traffic. Free parking is next to the office building.  
The practice setting was intentionally designed for patient comfort. With more than 40 years of experience in medicine, Dr. Morgan brings both wisdom and compassion to his practice. Follow-up regarding test results, medication adjustments, and the evaluation and treatment of acute problems occurring in established patients are frequently done by phone. Perhaps the most important aspect in patient relationships is the 24-hour availability of a known, trusted physician for true emergencies. Having proven this capability over the years, the results have produced a mutually rewarding outcome motivating a desire to continue this style of care. 
Services, especially menopause and osteoporosis, are provided to women from the Greater Houston area, the Gulf Coast Region including Louisiana, other parts of Texas, and the United States, as well as internationally. Dr. Morgan has a special interest in these areas, having demonstrated proficiency through the North American Menopause Society and the International Society of Clinical Densitometry (osteoporosis). 
Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Morgan evaluates problems with compassionate listening to reach conclusions about an individual’s priorities and reasonable plan of care options. While respecting a woman’s schedule, considerable time is used in education about the physical, social, and emotional interactions relating to new issues — especially when associated with ongoing, chronic conditions.  
Inconvenient bleeding, birth control, hot flashes, night sweats, irritability, as well as depression and sleep issues are primary associations occurring during the change from fertility with regular cycling to persistently low estrogen levels without flows. Other particular problems may include weight gain, hair loss, skin changes, and concerns about intimacy. Considering a woman’s specific needs and/or desires, and after appropriate evaluations, treatment may be conventional but may also include appropriate alternative measures.
