Dr. Chinemerem (Fred) Abanonu is a board certified and fellowship trained medical oncologist and hematologist.Dr. Abanonu earned his medical degree from University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers) in Newark, New Jersey and his oncology and hematology fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.As a generalist, Dr. Abanonu treats the entire spectrum of oncology and hematology, but he has personal and clinical interest in lung cancer.
