Faith Buchanan, PA-C

I have been passionate about oncology care since beginning my career in 2005 as a physician assistant. After a brief time with Urologic Oncology at the NIH, I returned to North Carolina and worked at Duke University in cancer clinics around the state of North Carolina, bringing oncology access to nine clinics across the state. I then transitioned to Bone Marrow transplant, initially at Duke, then with the UNC Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy program. This is where I became extensively involved with the CAR-T immunotherapy program, which is my primary interest. I find great satisfaction in seeing the remarkable advances that are continuing to be made in this cutting-edge field. My career goals are to help advance CAR-T and cellular immunotherapy care and expand access to reach as many patients as possible for both research and commercially available CAR-T therapies. Outside of work, I spend as much time as possible with my husband and two boys hiking, gardening, reading, and traveling the world.
