Joel S. Rose, MD

It was a combination of feeling that this was my calling in life as well as inspiration from various persons that led me to pursue becoming a surgeon. I remember from a young age my mother reading different books from Dr. Ben Carson at night to my older brother and myself and then having the pleasure of meeting him at my school in the Cayman Islands. Later in the 12th grade I had the opportunity to shadow a local surgeon in the Cayman Islands Dr. Steve Tomlinson for several months, which confirmed I truly wanted to be a surgeon. I believe in treating my patients as though they were members of my own family. I believe in being honest and forthright. I will do everything in my power to do the best for my patients but also the patient must do all the best that they can for themselves as well. Since I have been given great responsibility in caring for others I realize that I cant do it alone and depend on God, my partners and everyone I can to produce the best results for my patients. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife Deana, my two boys and two dogs. We are active in our church and participate in many activities centered on community building and giving back to the surrounding areas. I love fishing, playing football (soccer), playing music/singing, and watching movies.
