Brian Z. Rayala, MD

For over 20 years, I have strived for excellence in caring for the whole patient, both medically and surgically, and have devoted my career to educating and mentoring family physicians. As a professor at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I have led the transformation of UNC Family Medicine’s clinical surgical services and residency procedural curriculum. Since 2014, I have trained and mentored nine fellows and over 100 residents as Director of Career Development Fellowship in Family Medicine Procedures. My clinical interests include vasectomy, wound medicine, medical and surgical management of skin disorders, nail and hair disease, circumcision, and most outpatient primary care procedures.
