I was born into a food-friendly family-my parents owned and operated a catering business when I was a child. I was constantly around food and enjoyed helping my parents when I was able. In addition to being around food, my grandmother had cutouts from magazines about food and nutrition on the inside of her kitchen cabinets. The information always fascinated me, and I looked forward to seeing what else she had found. The experiences from my childhood led me to a career in nutrition and dietetics. I am passionate about promoting healthy lifestyle behaviors by providing individualized care. I take into account the patients lifestyle and needs to provide suitable, evidence-based, medical nutrition therapy. Outside of work, I enjoy Zumba, biking and traveling.
