While training as a college runner, I had the opportunity to observe and understand what roles doctors, physician assistants (PA's) and athletic trainers play as part of a sports medicine team. From then on, I knew I enjoyed and wanted to be a part of the medical team as a PA. I love helping athletes return to the field or court as soon as it is safe for them to do so. Ive also grown to love orthopedic trauma over the last 10+ years of treating injuries in trauma patients. My philosophy of care is to listen to the patient. If you ask the right questions and listen, the patient will, a lot of the time, tell you exactly what their diagnosis is. When I am not working, my family and I stay very busy and on the go. I enjoy marathon running, spending time on the baseball field with my son and the dance studio with my daughter.
