Stephanie Downs-Canner, MD

I am a breast surgical oncologist who specializes in the care of women with breast diseases. My goal is to provide compassionate, cutting edge care to women with breast cancer, benign breast diseases, and high-risk women. I perform all types of surgery for breast cancer including lumpectomy, mastectomy, nipple-sparing mastectomy, and axillary lymph node procedures. I work closely with my colleagues in medical oncology and radiation oncology to provide multi-disciplinary care to women with breast cancer. In addition to my clinical practice, I am committed to helping find better treatments for breast cancer through my research at Lineberger Cancer Center.
