Heather Anderson, MD, MS

I chose to become a doctor because it combined my love of science with my love of people. Deciding on family medicine as my specialty was easier; that was more like answering a calling than choosing a career. The best part of family medicine is the family. Seeing a patient one week for their health and then seeing them the next week as they bring in a parent is a special joy for me. I love being a doctor every day and look forward to being involved in your familys care. I like to focus on overall health and creating personalized health care goals with my patients. I feel like I became a doctor at the right time and the right moment given the new focus on implementing technology into medicine. I see patients in the office Monday-Thursday and always encourage them to use MyChart to review their labs and follow their trends at home. Outside of work, I enjoy going for walks, reading books and bird watching.
