I knew early on that a career in medicine was something I wanted to strive for. My father is a physician assistant and has provided a wonderful example of the patient/provider relationship. I chose to follow in this path to serve others, using my skill set to provide compassionate care while building relationships with patients and their families. Health care is a joint effort between the patient and provider, requiring open dialogue and teamwork. Both parties must be all in and feel heard and understood in order to treat the whole person. Healthy food and lifestyle choices, along with preventive medicine, provide the foundation to maintaining a patients overall health. Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, traveling, the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
