In my younger years, I had been searching for the career path that suited me. I knew I wanted to serve others, but it wasn't until I was personal training and working in conjunction with an outpatient physical therapist that I realized exactly what I needed to do. So, after some planning, and with lots of help from my husband and family, I went to physical therapy school and was able to realize that dream. Now, more than 10 years later, I love what I do even more. I was recently certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment, which is the McKenzie Method for treating back and neck pain. It opens up a whole new way of treating that is patient-focused and patient-driven. My hope is to encourage people to move in ways that help them to feel better and stronger and to reduce the need for pain medications.
