I went into the healthcare field because of my genuine love for people and my fascination with the biology of health and disease. I see my role in patient care as a teacher, advocate and cheerleader. I enjoy disease management for chronic illnesses and believe patients that are engaged in their own healthcare are more successful. Disease management helps the patient take an active role in their own healthcare and has a strong emphasis on patient education, which helps improve outcomes. When not at work, I enjoy cooking, exercise and spending time with family.
