Suzanne Voorhees, MD

I knew I wanted to pursue medicine as a career from very early on. I have always loved the science of medicine and getting to work with people every day. I am honored to have the opportunity to be part of our families lives and their children growing up! My approach to patient care is that the health of a child requires a family approach. There is no quick fix, and to raise healthy children, we all need to build healthy habits and lifestyles together! Originally from North Carolina, I am excited to be coming back to work with the UNC Health Care system to care for patients and families in the community that raised me! Outside of work, you might find me on a jog with my golden retriever, Gracie. I love running and have completed nine half marathons so far, and counting. I also love cooking, visiting farmers markets, hiking- really anything outdoors!
