Flathead 411

In 2019, the Flathead County Sheriff's Office issued a warning on their website that there was "an armed, barricaded male in Woodland Park" and that people needed to stay away. At the time, there was no great way to communicate this information to the public. People were making posts on garage sale sites, but those posts were taken down quickly. People continued to travel to the park with no idea of the danger. In reaction to this problem, a group of community members banded together and created a group on Facebook in response. The guiding principles, structure and name of the group were all voted on. Thus, Flathead 411 was founded by the community and for the community.
