About Us
Francisco Cardona, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician specializing in hormone replacement therapy at Fit Life MD in San Antonio, Texas.
After serving in the United States Air Force, Dr. Cardona completed his medical degree at University Iberoamericana in the Dominican Republic followed by an internal medicine residency in Puerto Rico. Upon completion of his training, Dr. Cardona began to work as a hospitalist. Despite continuing his hospital work, Dr. Cardona opened a primary care clinic focusing on health and disease prevention.
After obtaining certifications in hormone replacement therapy, he began to address hormonal issues within his primary care patients. In 2014, in order to be an example to his patients, Dr. Cardona went through a physical transformation and began competing in the National Physique Committee (NPC), ultimately obtaining the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) professional status in 2017. Dr. Cardona now focuses on disease prevention by encouraging his patients to maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
At Fit Life MD, Dr. Cardona provides very personalized medicine, supervising treatments himself. He provides a variety of services, including Botox®, laser hair removal, body sculpting, IV therapy, PRP, vascular therapy, and more. Dr. Cardona is very involved and considers each patient individually when choosing treatments.
