Julie Balan, MD, is a family medicine doctor. Dr. Balan became a doctor to make a meaningful contribution to her community. She became interested in primary care because of the opportunities to build long-term relationships with her patients. Dr. Balan believes that most diseases are preventable and manageable. That is why she educates patients on how to take care of their health by eating nutritious food, exercising regularly and reducing stress. In her spare time, Dr. Balan enjoys cooking, sightseeing and spending time with family and friends. She speaks English, Burmese and basic Hindi.
