He completed his internship at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He completed his residency in family medicine at UCLA Medical Center, where he also served as an associate professor of family medicine. Dr. Smietanka emphasizes building good relationships with his patients and strives to ensure that his patients understand their health conditions.
