About Us


Kris Popli, DDS, specializes in cosmetic and family dentistry at Tysons Laser Center Dentistry in Tysons Corner, Virginia. He has been practicing and living in Fairfax, Virginia, for over 30 years. 

Dr. Popli is a native Virginian who grew up in Richmond and received a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond in 1991. He is married to a lawyer/journalist and has two beautiful children: a daughter and a son. In his free time, Dr. Popli enjoys swimming, tennis, and traveling.

In 2003, Dr. Popli became the first dentist in the Tysons area to utilize the Waterlase dental laser. The dental laser was demonstrated live from the office on Washington DC's WUSA9. He quickly became known as the "Laser Dentist" by adults and children who have experienced its benefits: no shots, no drills, and no numbness!

Dr. Popli also has extensive post-graduate training in orthodontics and Invisalign®, dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, root canal therapy, and periodontal treatment. He is a member of the Northern Virginia Dental Society, has made oral health presentations to area school children, and has appeared on radio and television programs as an expert in dentistry. 

Dr. Popli’s outgoing and friendly demeanor, along with his gentle and caring manner, is appreciated by all patients. He would be honored to get to know patients’ families and friends too!
