Anissa Hashemi-Awwal, DPM

Dr. Anissa Hashemi-Awwal is a board certified podiatrist by American Board of Podiatric Medicine and a member of American Podiatric Medical Association as well as NJ Podiatric Medical Society. Dr. Hashemi is certified in arthroscopy and limb deformity and performs minimally invasive procedures in combination with regenerative medicine for faster recovery when needed. She is also trained in all aspects of foot and ankle conservative and surgical procedures. She received her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from NY College of Podiatric Medicine and had graduated as class salutatorian. She then went through three years of foot and ankle surgical residency at a top ranked program at Morristown Medical Center where she also served as a chief resident. She also has her Master of Science degree in biomedical informatics from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (currently known as Rutgers School of Biomedical and Health Sciences) with high honors at the top of her class. She has worked in multiple areas of healthcare including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, genomics, and microbiology prior to entering the field of medicine.
