About Us


Nelson A. Tajong, MD, is a board-certified gastroenterologist at Lakeside Gastroenterology, with locations in Conroe and The Woodlands, Texas. He is committed to providing comprehensive and personalized gastroenterology care for his patients.

Dr. Tajong earned his medical degree from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and completed his internal medicine residency at the Baltimore VA Medical Center - VA Maryland Health Care System in Baltimore, Maryland. He then pursued his gastroenterology fellowship at Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia in Pennslyvania. 

At Lakeside Gastroenterology, Dr. Tajong takes an integrative, patient-focused, and evidence-based approach to health. He provides care and treatments for abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, hemorrhoids, and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). He also offers preventive care, including colon cancer screenings and colonoscopies.

He has given numerous presentations and lectures throughout his career and is currently a part of several ongoing research projects. In addition, Dr. Tajong is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. 

Dr. Tajong is married with three children and currently resides in Montgomery County.
