General family dentist Hilda Yanez, DDS, leads the team at Raices Dentistree, located in San Antonio, Texas. When she envisioned her dental office, she wanted a place to provide quality dentistry without the negative stigma associated with most dental offices. When choosing a name for the dental office, it needed to represent a part of her. Spanish is Dr. Yanez’s first language, and she wanted to reflect that part of her in the name. The word "Raices Dentistree'' comes from the Spanish translation of "Raices," which is roots. Roots represent her reminder of where she came from and the people that helped her grow her strong roots. Those strong roots give her a strong foundation. In a tooth, strong roots also represent a strong foundation. 
Dr. Yanez wanted to create a space where you could feel warmth and comfort when you come inside the office. Whether you see a dentist regularly or not at all, every mouth is welcomed. No judgment. Another vital element she wanted to bring into the dental office was nature. She finds it peaceful and soothing and wanted to provide that experience to her patients. 
At Raices Dentistree, the team wants their patients to feel educated on their treatment choices because education is the foundation to a healthy mouth and overall health.
