John DeBanto, MD

John R. DeBanto, MD, is a gastroenterologist serving patients in Glendale, California. With over 20 years of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the digestive system, he realizes each patient brings a unique set of circumstances. 
Dr. DeBanto strives to treat the whole patient utilizing not only allopathy but complementary and alternative methods. He is able to provide point-of-care supplements, such as fiber, vitamins, and probiotics. Dr. DeBanto is a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology and a member of many other organizations.
A graduate of the University of Dayton in Ohio, Dr. DeBanto completed his medical degree at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He fulfilled his gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.
Dr. DeBanto is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons. He has special interests in gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), colon cancer screening, fatty liver disease, hemorrhoids, and weight loss management.
