M. Jaffer Asif, DO

M. Jaffer Asif, DO, is a board-certified Pulmonary and Critical Care physician. Dr. Asif earned his medical degree from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. After graduating from medical school, he completed his residency and a fellowship in Pulmonology at Loyola University Medical Center. He has been practicing Pulmonary and Critical Care medicine since 2012. Dr. Asif provides care for patients ages 18 and above. He treats a variety of conditions, including, but not limited to, asthma, COPD, emphysema, pulmonary fibrosis, ILD, sarcoidosis, pneumonia, chronic respiratory failure, chronic shortness of breath, chronic cough, pulmonary embolism, and care for patients experiencing ongoing respiratory symptoms from COVID-19. Dr. Asif also provides various bronchoscopy procedures. “I strongly view the patient-physician relationship as a team, with the goal of improving my patients’ care and wellness,” he says.
