Harbor Kids' Teeth: Lisa Block, DMD, MS

With over 25 years of experience, Lisa Block, DMD, MS, is a board-certified pediatric dentist at Harbor Kids’ Teeth in Gig Harbor, Washington. Before Dr. Block settled here in Gig Harbor, she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. She then completed her general practice dental residency at the University Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, and her pediatric dental residency at the Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1991.
Dr. Block specializes and is dedicated to the oral health of children as an expert in pediatric dentistry. She has been specifically trained to treat children’s developing teeth and to understand the unique dental problems that children face, such as cavities and gum problems. She understands the complexities of how teeth grow and develop and can keep an eye out for any potential problems that may arise. Dr. Block knows that some children may feel frightened when visiting the dentist and knows just how to make them feel at ease and comfortable, building a strong and happy relationship between herself and the child, as well as their families.
Dr. Block is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American College of Dentists, and the International College of Dentists. She is also a member of the Pierre Fauchard Academy and was the recipient of the 2013 Early Learning Champion Award in Pierce County, Washington.
