Christalyn M Schmidt, PA-C

Christalyn Schmidt is a certified physician assistant who specializes in gynecologic oncology and oncology cancer survivorship. She serves as surgical first assistant in minimally invasive robotic surgery.

Christalyn helps cancer patients through survivorship care as part of the comprehensive cancer program at AHN Cancer Institute. Patients are considered cancer “survivors” from the day of diagnosis through the rest of their lives. Christalyn helps them face the long-term physical, psychosocial, and financial challenges. She includes family members, friends, and caregivers who support a patient’s emotional and physical well-being. Survivorship is an integral part of a patient’s ongoing cancer surveillance with their team of cancer care specialists.

Christalyn received a Bachelor of Science in Health and Rehabilitation Science from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Chatham University in Pittsburgh.

She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the American Academy of PAs. She sees patients ages 25 to 85 and speaks English.
