In 2012, the Rice Agency acquired Messner Agency in Boonsboro, Maryland and expanded into Sykesville, Maryland by acquiring the Buenger agency in 2017. In 2018 Eckenrode, Paris, Mannarino and Bowling agencies joined the Rice Agency team with having operating offices in Sykesville, Frederick, Westminster, Hagerstown, and a new location in Mt Airy, Maryland.
