About Dr. Sanni
Aliu Sanni, MD, FACS, is a Bariatric and General Surgeon of Eastside Bariatric & General Surgery, located in Snellville, Georgia.
Dr. Sanni began his medical training at Newcastle Upon Tyne in England before coming to the United States. He completed his Residency at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in New York and his Fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Additionally, he is the Medical Director of Eastside Medical Center for Comprehensive Weight Loss Surgery. He now lives in Gwinnett County where he prides himself on providing quality care and improving the lives of his patients.
He opened Eastside Bariatric & General Surgery as his own specialty Bariatrics practice, where he has developed a comprehensive, complete program in Snellville. His aim is to open doors to better health through counseling, corrective surgery, and procedures while putting patients’ needs first. His staff and colleagues are dedicated to helping each of their patients succeed in their weight loss journey as they strive to take charge of their personal health.
He also is dedicated to giving back to education. He’s a Clinical Professor of surgery for Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Georgia Campus and an Associate Professor of Surgery for Medical College of Georgia/Augusta University. Dr. Sanni has also developed his own intern program at the request of several medical schools.
Dr. Sanni stays up to date on the latest advancements in his field and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
A devoted husband and father that enjoys playing tennis and soccer in his spare time, Dr. Sanni holds many positions throughout the medical community and has a passion for patient healthcare.
