Michael Fuhrman

<p style="border:none">Michael A. Fuhrman, MD, FACG is a member of Summit Health’s Gastroenterology team. Dr. Fuhrman treats a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions in adults, with a particular focus on gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), colon cancer prevention, irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease.

Dr. Fuhrman provides respectful, compassionate care, working to make every patient feel comfortable and involved in their healing journey. He enjoys connecting with every patient and working as a team toward improved health.

Before joining Summit Health, Dr. Fuhrman practiced for 18 years with Associates in Digestive Diseases.

Dr. Fuhrman has authored a number of research studies and case reports and has been published in the American Journal of Gastroenterology, Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and Echocardiography. He is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and he’s a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology.

For his work, Dr. Fuhrman has been named among “NJ Top Docs” in Healthy Living magazine and has received Patients’ Choice and Compassionate Doctor awards from the patient review website Vitals.

In his free time, Dr. Fuhrman enjoys skiing, live music, and spending time with his wife and children.
