Dr. IIyas’s is board certified in cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and interventional cardiology that works at The Heart Institute of East Texas for over six years. He specializes in performing cardiac catheterizations through the radial artery (wrist) in addition to the conventional femoral (groin) approach. He also specializes in rotational atherectomy, laser, angioplasty and stenting for patients suffering from heart attacks, coronary artery disease.
He is trained in peripheral vascular and structural heart procedures such as angioplasty, stenting, atherectomy in peripheral vessels, minimally invasive/percutaneous procedure for valvular heart disease such as aortic balloon valvuloplasty (VAV) and transcutaneous aortic valve replacement (TAVR).
