First Command Financial Advisor - Jaime Torres-Mendoza-CLOSED

Jaime Torres-Mendoza joined First Command Financial Services as a Financial Advisor in November 2020, following a 20-year career in the United States Army, where he attained the rank of Sergeant First Class. Jaime understands the challenges and opportunities associated with life in the military and is committed to helping service members and their families get their financial lives squared away.

Jaime has a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science from Thomas Edison State University. He holds Series 66, Series 7 and SIE securities licenses plus life and health insurance licenses in Texas.

Understanding that the biggest obstacle to financial security for most people is their own behavior, Jaime serves as a personal financial coach to clients, continually reinforcing positive financial behaviors. His thorough knowledge of military pay and benefits enables him to advise clients on how to navigate the Blended Retirement System, properly allocate their contributions to the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) and take full advantage of other benefits. Jaime will work with you to establish specific, meaningful goals that are consistent with your values and then develop a personalized financial plan to guide your pursuit of those goals.

Active in his community, Jaime is a member of The Knights of Columbus, where he serves and participates on different activities within the community. He also loves to volunteer his time to mentor, coach and support young kids.

In his free time, Jaime enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and watching movies.
