Advanced Pain Management: Ravi Panjabi, MD

Ravi Panjabi, MD, is a board-certified anesthesiologist and pain management physician who endeavors to treat each patient with dignity, integrity, compassion, and respect. Dr. Panjabi treats adolescents and adults at three Advanced Pain Management offices in Castro Valley, San Ramon, and Fremont, California.
Dr. Panjabi has extensive medical training from all over the world. His path to pain medicine began in India, where he completed medical school and earned a Master's in Orthopedic Surgery at Grant Medical College in Bombay (now Mumbai), India. While there, he became board certified in orthopedics.
After relocating to the United States in 1989, Dr. Panjabi finished his equivalency exams and went on to complete an internal medicine internship at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois. Then, he did a residency in anesthesiology at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois, and a pain management fellowship at the University of Illinois in Chicago. 
Dr. Panjabi worked for a large pain management and anesthesiology group in Tampa Bay, Florida, before moving to California in 1998.
Since founding Advanced Pain Management, Dr. Panjabi has devoted his life and career to helping patients find relief from acute and chronic pain. He treats a broad range of conditions, including arthritis, diabetic neuropathy, and various causes of back pain, neck pain, arm pain, and leg pain. 
Dr. Panjabi uses the latest pharmacological and interventional techniques, including epidural injections and regenerative medicine.
Because he’s passionate about his work and cares deeply about his patients, Dr. Panjabi gets to the root cause of pain and focuses treatment on improving function as well as alleviating symptoms. He regularly attends medical education courses to stay up to date with the latest trends and techniques and puts them into practice.
