First Command Financial Advisor - Sean Murtagh

Sean Murtagh joined First Command Financial Services as a Financial Advisor in July 2019, following a 27-year career in the United States Coast Guard, where he attained the rank of Captain (O-6). Sean understands the challenges and opportunities associated with life in the military and is committed to helping service members and their families get their financial lives squared away.

Sean has a Bachelor's degree in Management from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Rochester. He holds Series 7, Series 66, and Securities Industry Essentials securities licenses plus life and health insurance licenses in Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC, West Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, New York, Michigan and Texas.

Sean is committed to coaching clients to pursue their financial goals and lifetime dreams by bringing sound financial knowledge and trustworthy advice to a lasting relationship with each individual and family he serves.

Active in his community, Sean is a member of the Board of Directors of the Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County and the Rotary Club of Shepherdstown.

In his free time, Sean enjoys traveling, golf, and spending time with friends.
