First Command District Advisor - John Oldham

John Oldham joined First Command Financial Services as a Financial Advisor in February 2015, bringing with him nine years of industry experience. Previously, he served as a commercial financier for GE Capital, where he worked closely with venture capitalists and start-up healthcare companies to finance the discovery and development of next generation medical technologies. John also served for five years in the United States Army's 82nd Airborne Division, where he attained the rank of Captain.

He earned a Bachelor's degree in Management from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Connecticut. He holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses plus state life and health insurance licenses.

Understanding that the single most powerful contributor to financial well-being is behavior, John works closely with clients to develop personalized financial plans that reflect their values, address their priorities and support their goals. Each plan includes recommendations for specific financial products and services to support those goals. And through ongoing planning to address changes in one's financial and personal circumstances, John is ready to assist clients as they pursue their goals through a lifetime financial journey.

As an avid volunteer in local youth sports, John understands the importance of coaching and applies that understanding through coaching his clients toward productive, lifelong financial habits.
