First Command Financial Advisor - Dan Mahoney

Dan Mahoney joined First Command Financial Services as a Financial Advisor in June 1997, following a 21-year career in the United States Air Force. There, he attained the rank of Senior Master Sergeant and served as an aircraft maintainer supporting the F-111 Aardvark and F-15E Strike Eagle during both peacetime and wartime.

A graduate of Mount Olive College with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Management degree, Dan holds Series 6, 63, 65 and 26 securities licenses plus state life, health and long-term care insurance licenses. He is a Certified Financial Planner & Trade certificant and a member of the Financial Planning Association and Financial Services Institute.

Having witnessed the financial difficulties resulting from the loss of a family member, Dan is committed to helping others prepare thoughtfully for the financial well-being of their loved ones. Dan is a member of the Air Force Association. He is married with four children and two grandchildren, and he enjoys woodworking, cars, travelling, and spending time with his family.
