First Command Financial Advisor - Tom Soper

Tom Soper joined First Command Financial Services as a Financial Advisor in February 2018. As a military spouse, he understands the unique situations and circumstances that place pressure on military families and is committed to helping them discover the confidence and peace of mind that come from financial security.

Tom has a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Univ. of Kentucky and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Ashford Univ. He also earned his MBA from Colorado Tech Univ. He holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses plus life and health insurance licenses in Colorado and South Carolina.

Understanding that the biggest obstacle to financial security for most people is their own behavior, Tom serves as a personal financial coach to clients, continually reinforcing positive financial behaviors. His thorough knowledge of military pay and benefits enables him to advise clients on how to navigate the Blended Retirement System, properly allocate their contributions to the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) and take full advantage of other benefits. Tom will work with you to establish specific, meaningful goals that are consistent with your values and then develop a personalized financial plan to guide your pursuit of those goals.

In his free time, Tom enjoys golf, spending time with friends, and spending time with family.
