Who is Stephen Steakley: In 2001, I started providing home loans in Austin, Texas and later received the “Rookie of the Year” award at Security Lending. In the following years, my tenacious commitment to Texas home buyers and “never say die” determination earned me national awards and recognition, “Presidents Club Award for Volume” in each year, 2005 through 2009, and 2011 through 2015. In addition, I received “Top Producer in the Nation for Volume and Units” in 2008, as well as Top Producer awards in 2012, 2013 and 2014. The awards are nice, but they boil down to this … I've closed over 3,000 home loans for families equaling over 800 million dollars, but my greatest source of pride is the end result — thousands of happy Texas homeowners. In creating the Steakley Group in 2009, I set out to assemble a stellar and experienced team with great attitudes that understand my commitment to customer service and "never say die" approach to finding solutions to today's mortgage challenges.
