This private practice is owned and operated by a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT). A CHT is an Occupational or physical therapist with over 4,000 documented hours of experience rehabilitating the hand and upper extremity, as well as passing the Hand Therapy Certification Commission’s Standardized examination. There are only about 5,000 CHT’s in the United States. It is the accepted designation for expert rehabilitation of hand, elbow, and shoulder conditions. Recertification is every 5 years, and CHTs must demonstrate continued education and continue to practice Hand Therapy to maintain the credential
