Moku Roots

Moku Roots is a delicious vegan and health-focused restaurant that was established by friends Alexa Caskey and Erica Gale in 2018. Alexa has been a vegetarian for 15 years and found it a struggle to find decent quality vegetarian restaurants in Maui, Hawaii. She started out her first company, Maui Tropsicles, which sold gourmet popsicles in Maui. However, she decided to expand it into a restaurant that specializes in vegetarian and vegan options.

She has a farm in Launiupoko, which is located 6 miles away from her restaurant. This is where she gets all the fresh produce that is used in her vegetarian and vegan dishes. This is part of her commitment in bringing her guests at the restaurant fresh and organic dishes. Erica joined her in this business venture using her experience in the hospitality industry to develop a fun yet creative space for the people of Maui. Today, Moku Roots is the preferred option for those looking for locally grown, healthy, and organic vegan food in Maui.
