Dhiren Patel, MBBS, MD

Dr. Dhiren Patel is a board certified pediatric gastroenterologist at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He is a member of the SLUCare Physician Group. He specializes in treating young patients who have bowel, liver and abdominal disorders. Dr. Patel uses the latest techniques in caring for patients, including capsule endoscopies and high resolution manometry for motility disorders.

Dr. Patel’s clinical interests include inflammatory bowel disease, pediatric mobility disorders and celiac disease. He is a member of the North American Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, and is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics

Dr. Patel graduated from B.J. Medical College in India and completed his residency at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, MI and completed his gastroenterology fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit.
