Hong Zhang Frankel, MD, PhD, FAAP, is a board-certified pediatrician who has been practicing for over 20 years. She received her medical degree from Beijing Medical University in China and completed her residency at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. She also has a PhD in neuropharmacology.

Before joining SSM Health Medical Group, Dr. Frankel was in private practice in Addison, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. She provides care to patients from age newborn to 18 years. She is fluent in Chinese.

When she is not working, Dr. Frankel enjoys ballet, music, tennis and basketball.
